Newsletter - January, 2008Happy New Year to All! We are starting out on the run this year with several new projects as well as plans for our annual picnic. The Community Relations committee has designed a double sided card stock information sheet/brochure which we hope to start circulating in February. It will stand in a plastic holder so if you have a suggestion for placements please let us know. Exciting news is that we hope to produce Birth, a play by Karen Brody! This play involves the birth stories of seven women and we will record it and send it to at least three people we think can influence maternity care. We are currently looking at spaces for the performance. Soon we will be looking for actors, a director and film crew, not to mention, help with advertising and organization. The next meeting of the Community Relations committee is Thursday, Jan. 31 at the Birth & Beyond office at 4244 Hamilton Ave., 7 pm. If you are interested in working on the production please attend! The Education Committee has completed curriculum and is getting ready to start some classes to educate people about birth options. Their next meeting is posted on the website and all interested people are encouraged to attend. Health Care Policy committee is looking at interesting items to post on the website in order to help consumers identify the issues and how they can effect change. The Website committee is meeting on the 4th Thursday of the month at Leah’s house on Florida Ave. Please rsvp to her if you are planning to attend…513-591-2038. If you are receiving health care that is satisfying please encourage your providers to list on our website! We want to know who they are and be able to share that information with all of the people who check out our site… www.birthnbeyond.orgWe extend to you the hope of a joyful and peaceful new year… Birth & Beyond Volunteers |
