The birth experience is a powerful physical, emotional, and often spiritual event that is remembered for a lifetime. My wish is for every woman or couple to have the knowledge and support needed to make choices regarding pregnancy and childbirth; a nine week series of childbirth classes presents topics along with benefits, risks, and options to allow for informed decision making. As a doula, my role is to enhance the birth experience by providing encouragement, knowledge, suggestions for labor positions, emotional support, relaxation aides, and physical comfort measures. I work with each woman or couple prenatally, through labor and birth, and the immediate postpartum period. Labor assistant and childbirth educator training were both received through the ALACE organization. I would be happy to talk further with anyone interested in either service.

DONA certified birth and postpartum doula providing support from pregnancy to labor, and assistance in your home in the early weeks after birth. Postpartum support includes help with basic newborn care and breastfeeding, light housework and meal preparation, and other care for the new mother.

Pam is available to attend births as a doula. She has received the ALACE doula training and is in the process of becoming certified. She is also an amateur photographer willing to take prenatal and birth photos. She would be happy to speak with anyone regarding doulas in general or her services in particular.
