Attachment Parenting International - Cincinnati Chapter

The mission of Attachment Parenting International (API) is to promote parenting practices that create strong, healthy emotional bonds between children and their parents. These practices nurture and fulfill a child's need for trust, empathy, and affection, providing a lifelong foundation for healthy, enduring relationships.

Through education, support, advocacy and research, API seeks to strengthen families and increase awareness of the importance of secure attachment, ultimately helping to reduce or prevent child abuse, behavioral disorders, criminal acts and other serious social problems.

Dads 2B

Fathering Support Network

Dads 2B is a nascent support network for dads and dads-to-be. It's goal is to form a strong community in support of all dads and dads-to-be on their journey, and to improve and support dads' nurturing, caring, supportive, open, sensitive and loving natures as parents, and self-improved individuals. ICAN of Greater Cincinnati

International Cesarean Awareness Network - Cincinnati Chapter

The International Cesarean Awareness Network, Inc. (ICAN) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).

Who should attend?

  1. Parents seeking ways to avoid a cesarean
  2. Cesarean survivors looking for tips and mother-to-mother support for physical and emotional recovery after a cesarean
  3. Parents seeking information about and support for VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean)

La Leche League of Cincinnati

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns. Please visit the alphabetical list or the link above for contact info.
